On or about Friday, April 23rd, 2021, around 1:00 in the afternoon, an accident between a tractor-trailer and three pedestrians left two people dead and sent a third to the hospital. Troopers from the NYSP said the accident was reported along Main Street (Route 9) near the intersection with Horicon Avenue in Warrensburg, New York.

Deputies from the Warren County Sheriff’s Office said 33-year-old Dana Kaplan-Angle and 75-year-old RuthAnn Angle were killed, while 33-year-old Robert Dowling was injured when they were all allegedly struck by a tractor-trailer that was making a left turn. RuthAnn Angle and Dana Kaplan-Angle were pronounced dead of their injuries at the scene of the accident. Emergency responders transported Dowling to a nearby hospital with unspecified injuries.

According to Google Maps, Main Street (Route 9) runs north and south through the center of Warrensburg, which is roughly 66 miles north of Albany.
