On or about Friday, December 3rd, 2021, around 6:45 in the morning, a major accident between a tractor-trailer and an SUV left a 29-year-old man dead. Troopers from the Department of Public Safety said the accident was reported at the intersection of Old San Antonio Road and West Highway 21 in Bryan, Texas.

Deputies from the Brazos County Sheriff’s Office said 29-year-old Ryan Hooper was killed a tractor-trailer allegedly struck his SUV when the truck failed to yield at the intersection of West Highway 21 and Old San Antonio Road. Emergency responders pronounced Hooper dead of his injuries a short time after the collision. The driver of the tractor-trailer was unhurt in the accident, but was cited for failure to yield in connection with the crash.

According to Google Maps, Bryan is about 99 miles northwest of downtown Houston.

Officials are still investigating.
