On or about Wednesday, March 2nd, 2022, around 12:40 in the afternoon, an accident between a tractor-trailer and a passenger vehicle left a 25-year-old man dead. Representatives from the CHP said the accident was reported along Highway 99 West in Red Bluff, California.
Spokespeople from the California Highway Patrol said 25-year-old Ryan Myerssias was killed when the vehicle he was driving and a tractor-trailer allegedly collided when one of the vehicles crossed over the dividing line of Highway 99 West. Myerssias was pronounced dead a short time after the accident. Police identified the driver of the tractor-trailer as 56-year-old Charles Williams, who was unhurt in the collision.
According to Google Maps, the scene of the accident is a short distance from the Wal Mart Distribution Center in Red Bluff.
Officials are still looking into the cause of the accident.
