On or about Tuesday, June 8th, 2021, around 12:00 in the afternoon, an accident between a tractor-trailer and a pedestrian left a 65-year-old woman dead. Deputies from the Boulder County Sheriff’s Office said the accident was reported at the intersection of Clover Basin Drive and South Hover Street in Longmont, Colorado.
Authorities from the area said 65-year-old Sally Bhasin was killed when she was allegedly struck by a tractor-trailer that was attempting to turn from Clover Basin Drive to South Hover Street. Emergency responders rushed Bhasin to a nearby hospital where she succumbed to her injuries a short time after her arrival. Police did not mention any other injuries in their initial statement on the accident.
According to Google Maps, Longmont is about 37 miles north of downtown Denver.
Police are still investigating the accident.
