On or about January 19th, 2021, around 2:15 in the morning, an accident between a car and a tractor-trailer sent a 57-year-old woman to the hospital. Troopers from the DPS said the accident happened on the southbound side of Interstate 35 in Lancaster, Texas.
Department of Public Safety Troopers said 57-year-old Sandra Jackson was injured when her car allegedly bounced off a barrier and into the path of a northbound tractor-trailer. Emergency responders transported Jackson to the hospital with unspecified injuries after the accident. Jackson reportedly told authorities the tractor-trailer rear-ended her vehicle, resulting in the crash.
Officials are still working to determine what may have led to the accident, and hope to release the findings of their investigation at a later date.
