On or about Thursday, December 2nd, 2021, around 8:45 at night, an accident between a pedestrian and an SUV claimed the life of a 63-year-old local woman. Deputies from the Denton County Sheriff’s Department said the accident was reported in the 1900 block of Long Prairie Road in Flower Mound, Texas.
Flower Mound Police Department spokespeople said 63-year-old Sandra K. Luedke was killed when she was allegedly struck by a Toyota FJ Cruiser SUV as she was walking alongside or made an attempt to cross Long Prairie Road. Emergency responders rushed Luedke to Baylor Scott & White Medical Center where she succumbed to her injuries a short time after her arrival.
According to Google Maps, Flower Mound is situated about 28 miles northwest of downtown Dallas.
Local law enforcement officials are investigating.
