On or about Tuesday, February 15th, 2022, around 8:40 in the evening, an accident between a passenger vehicle and a tractor-trailer sent a 24-year-old Shen woman to the hospital. Troopers from the MSHP said the accident was reported along Interstate 29 just outside Mound City in Holt County, Missouri.
Investigators said 24-year-old Sara Skalberg was injured when a tractor-trailer allegedly struck her vehicle while merging onto Interstate 29. Emergency responders transported Skalberg to Mosaic Life Care Hospital with injuries of an unspecified nature or severity. Authorities identified the driver of the tractor-trailer as Harpreet Singh, who was unhurt in the accident.
According to Google Maps, the scene of the accident is about 13 miles south of Mound City.
Police are still working to pin down the cause of the accident.
