On or about Friday, October 16th, 2020, an accident between an 18-wheeler and a pickup truck sent a 25-year-old woman to the hospital. The accident happened at the intersection of 520th Street and 810th Avenue in Buffalo Lake Township, Minnesota.
Law enforcement spokespeople have said that 25-year-old Sarah Schaffer was injured when a tractor-trailer driven by 41-year-old Felix Papa allegedly failed to yield at the intersection and struck her pickup truck. First responders transported Schaffer to HealthPartners Olivia Hospital and Clinic with unspecified injuries. Papa was unhurt.
An examination of the intersection on Google Maps shows a remote area, with 810th Avenue running east and west, while 510th Street runs north and south. Buffalo Lake is located roughly 78 miles West of Minneapolis.
