A North Carolina Highway Patrol Trooper was injured in pursuit of a tractor-trailer across multiple highways in Transylvania County, SC. Officers report the incident took place on the morning of Friday, April 11, 2025.

Initially pulled over on NC 280 for speeding, Andrew Gamble, the driver of the tractor-trailer, attempted to speed away from authorities. He was chased along Highway 46 and onto Pickens Highway, where he crashed into the front yard of a home. Troopers arrested Gamble, who was charged with assault with a deadly weapon, hit-and-run and DWI.
