Initially pulled over on NC 280 for speeding, Andrew Gamble, the driver of the tractor-trailer, attempted to speed away from authorities. He was chased along Highway 46 and onto Pickens Highway, where he crashed into the front yard of a home. Troopers arrested Gamble, who was charged with assault with a deadly weapon, hit-and-run and DWI.
