On or about Friday, July 1st, 2022, sometime in the afternoon hours, an accident between a pickup truck and a tractor-trailer left one individual dead and sent another man to the hospital. Representatives from the ASP said the accident was reported along Highway 50 in Lawrence County, Alabama.

Officials from the Alabama State Police said 52-year-old Scott Berry was killed when the pickup truck he was driving allegedly hit the back of a tractor-trailer along Highway 20. Emergency responders pronounced Berry dead of his injuries after the collision. Police identified the driver of the propane truck as 58-year-old Charles Tennyson, who was taken to a nearby hospital with injuries of an unspecified nature or severity.
