Details:
On or about Wednesday, February 9th, 2022, around 3:30 in the afternoon, a serious single-vehicle tractor-trailer left one person dead and sent another individual to the hospital. Troopers from the ISP said the accident was reported along Interstate 70 just outside Greenfield, Indiana.
Representatives from the Indiana State Police said 54-year-old Scott Brandenburg was killed and an as-of-yet unidentified individual was injured when the tractor-trailer they were in drove off the side of Interstate 70 and crashed into a ditch. Emergency responders pronounced Brandenburg dead of his injuries a short time after the accident, while a passenger in the tractor-trailer was treated for unspecified injuries.
According to Google Maps, the scene of the accident is a short distance from Greenfield, which is roughly 25 miles east of downtown Indianapolis.
Officials are still investigating the accident.
