Details:
On or about Tuesday, February 23rd, 2021, an accident between a pickup truck and an 18-wheeler left a 53-year-old man dead. Officers from the area said the accident was reported along Highway 395 in Gardnerville, Nevada.
Investigators said 53-year-old Sean Leonard was killed when a tractor-trailer allegedly struck the back of his pickup truck as he was turning onto Courtland Lane from Highway 395. Paramedics pronounced Leonard dead of his injuries at the scene of the accident.
According to Google Maps, the scene of the accident happened a short distance from the California State Line, about 49 miles south of Reno.
Nevada State Police are assisting in the investigation.
