On or about Thursday, June 10th, 2021, around 7:09 in the morning, an accident between a van and a dump truck sent two men to the hospital with serious injuries. Officials from the NYSP said the accident was reported along Motor Parkway in Hauppauge, New York.
Police said 34-year-old Segundo Encalada and 29-year-old Sergio Montesoca were injured when a dump truck allegedly struck the van they were in as they were turning into a parking lot. Emergency responders rushed Encalada and Montesoca to Stony Brook University Hospital with unspecified injuries stemming from the incident. The driver of the van was identified as Ruben Veles, who sustained minor injuries in the accident.
According to Google Maps, the scene of the accident in the 600 block of Motor Parkway is situated in the center of Long Island.
