On or about Friday, August 20th, 2021, around 11:50 in the morning, an accident between a dump truck, several cars, and a building sent seven people to the hospital. Officials from the SPD said the accident happened at the intersection of Fourth Avenue and Freya Street in Spokane, Washington.
Police said seven as-of-yet unidentified individuals when a dump truck driven by McGavin Medrain allegedly slammed into several vehicles and crashed into an insurance office and a coffee shop off the side of the road. Paramedics transported seven people from the scene with unspecified injuries stemming from the accident.
Authorities have since arrested Medrain on suspicion of vehicular assault in connection with the crash.
Spokane Police Department is investigating the accident.
