On or about Monday, January 31st, 2022, around 7:30 in the morning, an accident between a tractor-trailer and four other vehicles sent seven individuals, including three children, to the hospital. Representatives from the Department of Public Safety said the accident was reported along Loop 287 at or near the exchange with John Reddit Drive in Lufkin, Texas.
Investigators from the Texas DPS said seven as-of-yet unidentified individuals were injured when a tractor-trailer allegedly struck four vehicles when the truck driver may have suffered a medical emergency while driving down Loop 287. Emergency responders transported seven people, including three children, to the hospital with various injuries stemming from the accident.
According to Google Maps, the scene of the accident is on the south side of Lufkin.
Police are still investigating the accident.
