Details:
On or about Wednesday, October 21st, around 8:20 in the morning, an accident between a tree trimming truck and a school bus sent seven people to the hospital. Authorities said that the accident happened on Route 207 near the intersection with Beattie Road in New Windsor, New York.
Washingtonville Central School District stated that a school bus of theirs was hit by a tree trimming truck that allegedly crossed from the westbound lanes and struck the eastbound school bus. One student on the bus, as well as the bus driver and tree trimming truck driver had to be cut from the wreckage following the collision.
In all, seven people were taken to the hospital, where three were listed in critical condition.
Route 207, also referred to as Little Britain Road, runs east and west just north of the town of New Windsor according to Google Maps. New Windsor is located about 66 miles of New York City.
State Police is assisting local law enforcement with the accident investigation, which is still ongoing.
