On or about Wednesday, May 11th, 2022, around 6:30 in the morning, an accident between a dump truck and a passenger vehicle left 17 people injured. Troopers from the NCHP said the accident was reported along Sharon Road in Charlotte, North Carolina.
Representatives from the North Carolina Highway Patrol said 17 as-of-yet unidentified individuals were injured when a school bus and a dump truck collided under unspecified circumstances while driving down Sharon Road. Emergency responders treated seventeen individuals for injuries of an unknown nature or severity stemming from the collision.
According to Google Maps, the scene of the accident is not far from South Boulevard.
Authorities are still investigating the accident.
