On or about Wednesday, November 18th, 2020, around 7:00 in the morning, a multi-vehicle accident with a tractor-trailer resulted in multiple injuries. Investigators said the accident happened on the Zakim Bridge in Boston, Massachusetts.
Officers said several people were injured when an 18-wheeler allegedly jackknifed and struck several vehicles on the southbound side of the bridge. Multiple injuries were reported after the crash, but the number of people and the severity of their injuries is not clear.
Examining the Leonard P. Zakim Bridge on Google Maps shows it is four lanes on the southbound side, which spans the Charles River near downtown Boston.
All but one lane of the southbound side of the bridge was closed by the accident.
