On or about Wednesday, December 22nd, 2021, around 8:10 in the morning, an accident between a tractor-trailer, a dump truck, and an SUV sent multiple people to the hospital. Officials from the Berks County Sheriff’s Department said the accident was reported along Route 183 near the intersection with North Heidelberg Road just outside Bernville in Penn Township, Pennsylvania.

Police officers said an unspecified number of people were injured when a tractor-trailer, an SUV, and a dump truck collided in a chain-reaction accident along Route 183. After the initial collision, at least one of the vehicles flipped. Officials did not elaborate as to what may have started the accident. Emergency responders transported several individuals to the hospital with injuries of an unknown nature or severity.

According to Google Maps, the scene of the accident is a short distance from Bernville, which is about 75 miles northwest of downtown Philadelphia.
