Details:
On or about Monday, December 13th, 2021, sometime in the morning hours, a serious single-vehicle car accident claimed the life of a 25-year-old man. Troopers from the DPS said the accident was reported along the westbound side of Interstate 20 just outside Monahans in Ward County, Texas.
Law enforcement representatives said 25-year-old Shaiden Abila was killed when the pickup truck he was driving allegedly crossed the westbound lanes of Interstate 20 and crashed into a barrier before it rolled off the side of the roadway. Abila was ejected from the pickup truck and died of his injuries a short time after emergency responders arrived at the scene.
According to Google Maps, Interstate 20 cuts east and west through the south of Monahans, which is about 245 miles east of El Paso.
Authorities are still investigating the incident.
