On or about Sunday, May 29th, 2022, around 7:25 in the evening, a serious single-vehicle motorcycle accident left a 54-year-old man dead. Authorities from the Department of Public Safety said the accident was reported along Interstate 10 in Beaumont, Texas.
Authorities from the Texas Department of Public Safety said 54-year-old Shannon Barrios was killed when the motorcycle he was on allegedly veered off the side of Interstate 10 and slammed into a barrier a short distance off the pavement. Emergency responders pronounced Barrios dead of his injuries a short time after they arrived at the scene of the crash.
According to Google Maps, the scene of the accident is not far from downtown Beaumont.
Officials are still looking into the accident.
