Details:
On or about Monday, August 30th, 2021, around 5:00 in the morning, an accident between a tractor-trailer and a car claimed the life of a 37-year-old woman. Troopers from the MSHP said the accident was reported at the intersection of at Vandiver and Highway 63 in Columbia, Missouri.
Police said 37-year-old Shannon Marrero was killed when her car was allegedly hit by a tractor-trailer while she was attempting a U-turn at the intersection of at Vandiver and Highway 63. Paramedics pronounced Marrero dead of her injuries a short time after they arrived at the scene of the accident. Authorities did not mention any other vehicles in their initial statement on the incident.
According to Google Maps, the intersection of at Vandiver and Highway 63 is situated on the east side of Columbia.
Police are still investigating.
