On or about Tuesday, March 29th, 2022, around 8:21 in the morning, a major accident between a passenger vehicle and a tractor left a 28-year-old woman dead. Troopers from the ASP said the accident was reported along Highway 65 in Lincoln County, Arkansas.
Investigators from the Arkansas State Police said 28-year-old Shavie Ward was killed when the Lexus passenger vehicle she was driving allegedly collided with a John Deere tractor that was partially in the lane of traffic. Paramedics pronounced Ward dead of her injuries a short time after they responded to the scene of the accident. Officials did not mention any other injuries in their initial statement on the incident.
According to Google Maps, the scene of the accident is a short distance north of State Highway 388.
Authorities are still investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash.
