On or about Tuesday, April 26th, 2022, around 4:15 in the afternoon, an accident between a passenger vehicle and a dump truck left a 44-year-old Kiln man dead. Troopers from the MSP said the accident was reported along Higwhay 43 in Hancock County, Mississippi.
Representatives from the Mississippi State Police said 44-year-old Shawn Dourou was killed when the pickup truck he was driving and a dump truck collided under unspecified circumstances on Highway 43. Emergency responders pronounced Dourou dead of his injuries a short time after they responded to the collision.
According to Google Maps, Highway 43 winds north and south through Hancock County.
Police are still investigating the accident.
