Details:
On or about Tuesday, March 16th, 2021, around 7:30 in the morning, an accident between a pickup towing a trailer, a car, and a tractor-trailer left a 70-year-old Chandler woman dead. Officials from the ISP said the accident happened along Route 60 near the intersection with Epsworth Road in Warrick County, Indiana.
Deputies from the Sheriff’s Office said 70-year-old Sheila Shofstall was killed when her car was allegedly rear-ended by a pickup truck towing a trailer. After the initial collision, the pickup truck towing the trailer allegedly struck a nearby tractor-trailer. Paramedics pronounced Shofstall dead of her injuries at the scene of the accident.
According to Google Maps, Warrick County sits along the northeast edge of the Evansville city limits.
Indiana State Police and local law enforcement are investigating.
