On or about Wednesday, August 18th, 2021, around 12:23 in the afternoon, an accident between a pedestrian and a bus claimed the life of a 94-year-old woman. Police said the accident was reported in the 9800 block of Glades Road in Boca Raton, Florida.
Officers from the area said 94-year-old Shirley Goldberg was killed when she was allegedly struck by a turning bus as she was using a crosswalk in the 9800 block of Glades Road. Paramedics rushed Goldberg to Delray Beach Medical Center where she succumbed to her injuries after her arrival. Police did not mention any other vehicles in their initial statement on the accident.
According to Google Maps, the scene of the accident is a short distance from the center of Boca Raton north of Fort Lauderdale.
Officials are still investigating the incident.
