On or about Tuesday, June 15th, 2021, around 6:20 in the morning, an accident between a car and a tractor-trailer sent two men to the hospital. Representatives from the Chippewa County Sheriff’s Department said the accident was reported at the intersection of Highway 7 and Highway 23 in Stoneham Township, Minnesota.
Police said 18-year-old Silvio Yoc Ramirez and 32-year-old Alvaro Gomez Lucas were injured when their vehicle and a tractor-trailer collided under unspecified conditions at the intersection of Highway 23 and Highway 7. Ramirez was airlifted to the hospital, while Lucas was taken by ground ambulance. Police did not mention any other injuries stemming from the crash in their initial statement.
According to Google Maps, the scene of the accident is about 114 miles east of downtown Minneapolis.
Police are still investigating the accident.
