On or about Wednesday, December 29th, 2021, around 1:00 in the afternoon, an accident between a pickup truck towing a trailer and a passenger vehicle sent three individuals to the hospital. Law enforcement spokespeople said the accident was reported at the intersection of the Sam Rayburn Tollway and Farm-to-Market Road 544 in Lewisville, Texas.
Authorities said 53-year-old Sofia Mustafa, 19-year-old Ridha Syed and an as-of-yet unidentified 74-year-old woman were injured when a pickup truck towing a trailer ran a red light at the intersection of Farm-to-Market Road 544 and the Sam Rayburn Tollway. Emergency responders transported Mustafa, Syed, and another passenger to the hospital with unspecified injuries stemming from the accident.
Officials have cited the driver of the truck towing a trailer with failure to yield in connection with the accident.
According to Google Maps, the scene of the crash is about 25 miles northwest of downtown Dallas.
