Details:
On or about Sunday, December 19th, 2021, around 6:30 in the evening, an accident between a tractor-trailer and a passenger vehicle claimed the life of a 37-year-old woman. Troopers from the UHP said the accident was reported along Interstate 10 just outside Cedar City, Utah.
Investigators said 37-year-old Sonia J. Sainz Carrasco was killed when her car was allegedly struck from behind by a tractor-trailer along I-10. Paramedics pronounced Carrasco dead of her injuries a short time after the collision. Police did not mention any other injuries stemming from the accident.
According to Google Maps, the scene of the collision is about ten miles south of Cedar City.
Police are still examining the factors that may have contributed to the accident.
