On or about Thursday, January 14th, 2021, around 7:00 in the evening, an accident between a car and a tractor-trailer left a 26-year-old man dead. Officials said the accident happened along State Route 138 near Route 14 in Lancaster, California.
Authorities said 26-year-old Stanley Grovers was killed when a tractor-trailer allegedly turned from Route 14 into his path on eastbound Route 138. Paramedics pronounced Grovers dead of his injuries a short time after they arrived at the scene. Police did not mention any other injuries stemming from the crash in their preliminary report.
Google Maps shows Lancaster is about 70 miles north of downtown Los Angeles. The intersection of Route 14 and Route 138 is just a few miles north of Lancaster.
California Highway Patrol is still investigating the accident.
