On or about Tuesday, April 26th, 2022, around 8:59 in the morning, an accident between two tractor-trailers and a police patrol vehicle sent a state trooper to the hospital. Authorities from the KHP said the accident was reported along Interstate 70 in Ellis County, Kansas.

Spokespeople from the Kansas Highway Patrol said one as-of-yet unidentified KHP trooper was injured when a tractor-trailer allegedly veered over the fog line of Interstate 70 and slammed into a police patrol vehicle and another 18-wheeler. Paramedics transported the KHP trooper to the hospital with injuries of an unknown nature or severity.

According to Google Maps, the scene of the accident is about a mile west of the Ellis town line.

Multiple agencies responded to the scene to assist.
