On or about Thursday, June 16th, 2022, around 3:40 in the afternoon, a major accident between a tractor-trailer and an SUV left a 25-year-old woman dead. Troopers from the Department of Public Safety said the accident was reported along Highway 80 in Midland County, Texas.
Representatives from the Texas Department of Public Safety said 25-year-old Stephanie Stokes was killed when the SUV she was in allegedly collided with a tractor-trailer that was blocking the lanes of Highway 80 when the truck stopped mid-turn. Emergency responders pronounced Stokes dead of her injuries a short time after the collision.
According to Google Maps, the scene of the accident is in the 7500 block of Highway 80.
