Details:
On or about Sunday, November 7th, 2021, around 11:30 at night, a hit-and-run tractor-trailer accident claimed the life of a tow truck operator. Officials said the accident was reported along the side of Interstate 95 in Dillon, South Carolina.
Troopers from the South Carolina Highway Patrol said 48-year-old Steven Bullard was killed when he was allegedly struck by a tractor-trailer as he was loading a vehicle onto a tow truck on the side of Interstate 95. Paramedics pronounced Bullard dead of his injuries a short time after the accident.
According to Google Maps, interstate 95 runs north and south through Dillon, which is about 107 miles northeast of Columbia.
Police are still investigating.
