On or about Friday, July 23rd, 2021, an accident between a pickup truck claimed the life of a 67-year-old man and injured an 18-wheeler driver. Authorities said the accident was reported at the intersection of Highway 7 and Farm-to-Market Farm-to-Market Road 397 just outside Marquez in Robertson County, Texas
Department of Public Safety Troopers said 67-year-old Steven Henniger was killed when his pickup truck was allegedly struck by a tractor-trailer while he was attempting a turn at the intersection of Farm-to-Market Road 397, Paramedics pronounced Henniger dead after the accident. Police identified the truck as 35-year-old Eric Negrete was treated for unspecified injuries stemming from the incident.
According to authorities, the scene of the accident is situated about 5 miles west of Marquez in Robertson County, which is about 126 miles south of Dallas.
Police are still investigating the accident.
