Details:
On or about Tuesday, April 5th, 2021, around 7:15 in the morning, an accident between a tractor-trailer and a pedestrian left a 50-year-old man dead. Deputies from the Washoe County Sheriff’s Department said the accident happened on the eastbound side of Interstate 80 in Reno, Nevada.
Investigators said 50-year-old Steven Rice was killed when he was allegedly struck by a tractor-trailer as he was walking along or in the eastbound lanes of Interstate 80. Paramedics pronounced Rice dead of his injuries a short time after they responded to the scene of the accident. Officials did dot mention any other vehicles in their initial statement on the accident.
According to Google Maps, Interstate 80 runs east and west through the area, and the exchange with Mogul Road is on the far west side of Reno.
