On or about March 8th, 2022, around 6:44 in the evening, a serious accident between a passenger vehicle and a dump truck left two people dead. Officers from the Metro Police Department said the accident was reported along Interstate 695 in Washington, DC.

Law enforcement spokespeople from the area said 32-year-old Steven Roy and one other as-of-yet unidentified individual were killed when the vehicle they were in allegedly slammed into a parked dump truck along I-695. Paramedics pronounced Roy and the driver of the vehicle dead of their injuries a short time after the collision.

According to Google Maps, the scene of the accident is not far from Exit 1C.

Officials are still investigating the accident.
