Details:
On or about Tuesday, April 26th, 2022, around 1:00 in the afternoon, a serious helicopter crash claimed the lives of two individuals. Representatives from the NYSP said the accident was reported in Genesee County, New York.
Authorities said Stewart Dietrick and James Sauer were killed when the helicopter they were in allegedly crashed during medical helicopter training. Emergency responders pronounced Sauer and Dietrick dead of their injuries a short time after they responded to the accident.
According to Google Maps, the scene of the accident is a short distance outside Batavia.
Multiple agencies are assisting in the accident investigation.
