On or about Thursday, February 11th, 2021, around 11:00 in the morning, an accident between a pickup truck and an 18-wheeler sent two women to the hospital. Authorities said the accident happened along Highway 31 near Kokomo in Miami County, Indiana.
Troopers from the Indiana State Police said 62-year-old Susan Konkle and 61-year-old Renee Strouder were injured when a tractor-trailer allegedly struck their pickup truck as they were stopped at a red light. Konkle and Strouder were rushed to the hospital with unspecified injuries after the accidnet. Police identified the driver of the tractor-trailer as 26-year-old Trina Fay Carlson, who was uninjured in the accident.
Google Maps shows the scene of the accident is about 58 miles north of Indianapolis.
State Police are assisting local law enforcement with the investigation.
