On or about Tuesday, July 7th, 2021, around 12:45 in the afternoon, an accident between a dump truck and a cyclist sent one individual to the hospital. Troopers from the ISP said the accident was reported along Wendell Jacob Avenue near the intersection with Glendarin Way in Angola, Indiana.
Deputies from the County Sheriff’s Office said Susan Stroh was injured when she was allegedly struck from behind by a dump truck as she was riding along or attempting to cross Wendell Jacob Avenue. Paramedics rushed Stroh to the hospital with unspecified injuries stemming from the accident. Police did not mention any other vehicles in their initial statement on the accident.
According to Google Maps, Wendell Jacob Avenue runs east and west through Angola, which is about 265 miles northeast of Indianapolis.
Police hope to release the findings of their investigation at a later date.
