Details:
On or about Monday, February 8th, 2021, sometime before 5:00 in the afternoon, an accident between an alleged DUI truck driver and a car left a 52-year-old woman dead. Investigators said the accident happened along Interstate 69 in Daviess County, Indiana.
Police said 52-year-old Susan Yoo was killed when a tractor-trailer driven by 38-year-old Allen Weldy attempted a U-turn on Interstate 69. A portion of Weldy’s trailer protruded into the lane of travel and struck Yoo’s vehicle. Emergency responders pronounced Yoo dead of her injuries at the scene of the crash.
Authorities said Weldy’s blood tested positive for methamphetamines’, and was taken into custody following the accident.
Multiple agencies are still investigating the accident.
