Details:
On or about Wednesday, April 27th, 2022, around 10:33 in the morning, an accident between a van and a tractor-trailer left two people dead. Authorities from the ISP said the accident was reported along Highway 18 in Sioux County, Iowa.
Spokespeople from the Iowa State Police said 56-year-old Suzanne Barron and 45-year-old Rene Ross II were killed when the van they were in was allegedly hit by a tractor-trailer at an intersection along Highway 18. Emergency responders pronounced Barron and Ross dead of their injuries a short time after they responded to the accident. Paramedics also transported 46-year-old Jamie Hueschen to the hospital, but did not indicate which vehicle they were in at the time of the collision.
According to Google Maps, the scene of the accident is at the exchange of Highway 18 and Highway 75.
Police are still looking into the cause of the crash.
