On or about Tuesday, February 23rd, 2021, around 3:30 in the afternoon, an accident between a tractor-trailer and two cars sent a 31-year-old woman to the hospital. Deputies from the County Sheriff’s Office said the accident was reported along State Highway 54 just outside Nevada in Vernon County, Missouri.
Troopers from the Missouri State Highway Patrol said a tractor-trailer driven by Dax Wilson allegedly struck two vehicles while driving in the passing lane. The driver of the second vehicle, identified as 31-year-old Sylvia Matson, was taken to the hospital to be treated for serious injuries.
According to Google Maps, the scene of the accident is just a few miles outside Nevada, which is about 94 miles south of Kansas City.
Police are still investigating the accident.
