On or about Thursday, February 24th, 2022, a serious multi-vehicle accident between two passenger vehicles and a truck towing a trailer left a 41-year-old woman dead. Authorities from the MSP said the accident was reported along Highway 45 in Prentiss County, Mississippi.
Law enforcement personnel said 41-year-old Tabitha Ward was killed when the vehicle she was in, another vehicle, and a truck towing a trailer collided under unspecified circumstances. Emergency responders pronounced Ward dead a short time after the accident, but it is not clear if she died at the scene or if she was rushed to a nearby hospital where she succumbed to her injuries a short time after her arrival.
According to Google Maps, the scene of the accident is a short distance outside of Booneville.
Authorities are still investigating the cause of the accident.
