On or about Thursday, October 7th, 2021, around 3:55 in the afternoon, an accident between a pickup truck and a heavy-duty truck left a 67-year-old Pittsburg man dead, and sent a 50-year-old man to the hospital. Troopers from the DPS said the accident was reported along Highway 11 in Camp County, Texas.
Investigators from the Department of Public Safety said 67-year-old Ted Trimble was killed when his pickup truck allegedly drove over the center line of State Highway 11 and struck a heavy-duty truck driven by 50-year-old Edward Sharp. Paramedics pronounced Trimble dead of his injuries after the collision, while Sharp was taken to a nearby hospital with unspecified injuries stemming from the accident.
According to Google Maps, the scene of the accident is a short distance from Pittsburg, which is about 127 miles northeast of Dallas.
Police are still working to determine the cause of the incident.
