Details:
On or about Tuesday, November 2nd, 2021, around 6:49 in the morning, an accident between a tractor-trailer and a cyclist sent a teenager to the hospital. Deputies from the Yates County Sheriff’s Department said the accident was reported at the intersection of Route 14A and Fenno Road in Starkey, New York.
Law enforcement representatives from the area said one as-of-yet 16-year-old boy was injured when he was allegedly struck by a tractor-trailer while he was riding his bike at or near the intersection of Fenno Road and Route 14A. Paramedics airlifted the teen to Mercy Flight to Strong Memorial Hospital with unspecified injuries after the accident. Police identified the driver of the tractor-trailer as 48-year-old Diallo Corprew, who was unhurt in the incident.
According to Google Maps, the town of Starkey is about 69 miles southeast of Rochester.
Police are still investigating the accident.
