Details:
On or about Sunday, March 27th, 2022, a serious motorcycle accident with a passenger vehicle left a 15-year-old boy dead. Troopers from the Department of Public Safety said the accident was reported at the intersection of Westfield Drive and Westcliff Road in Ector County, Texas.
Law enforcement officials said one as-of-yet unidentified 15-year-old boy was killed when the motorcycle he was on and another car collided while the motorcycle was attempting to pass a third vehicle. Emergency responders pronounced the teen dead at the scene of the collision. Police did not mention any other injuries in their statement on the accident.
According to Google Maps, Ector County is about 153 miles south of downtown Lubbock.
Police are still examining the cause of the accident.
