Details:
On or about Monday, October 12th, 2020, an accident between a car and a tow truck claimed the life of a 15-year-old girl. The accident happened on County Line Road approaching the intersection with Spring Time Street in Spring Hill, Florida.
Florida Highway Patrol said that the 15-year-old girl was a passenger in a Mazda Miata that collided with a flatbed tow truck that was allegedly reversing into the road from a private driveway. Emergency responders pronounced the girl dead a short time after the collision. The driver of the Mazda, as well as the driver of the tow truck did not report injuries.
A view from the ground on Google Streetview shows that County Line Road is two lanes that run east and west in the southern part of town. Spring Hill is located roughly 50 miles north of Tampa.
Representatives from both state and local law enforcement are aiding in the investigation.
