Nine students were injured along with the driver and child in a second vehicle after a collision with a school bus on Blue Canyon Road in Fort Defiance, AZ. The Navajo Nation Police Department reports the crash happened around 6:45 a.m. on Thursday, January 23, 2025, when a vehicle struck the school bus while it was stopped to pick up a student. Eleven of the students were released at the scene, while nine students along with the driver and child passenger of the second vehicle were transported to Fort Defiance Indian Hospital for evaluation. The cause of the accident is under investigation.
