On or about Sunday, December 20th, 2020, in the early morning hours, an accident between a tractor-trailer and a pickup truck sent a 52-year-old Arkansas man to the hospital. Authorities said the accident happened on Interstate 40 near Peavine Road in Cumberland County, Tennessee.
Troopers from the TSP said 52-year-old Terrance Dwayne Reed was injured when the pickup he was driving was allegedly hit by a tractor-trailer driven by Joshua James Byrge. Emergency responders treated Reed for unspecified injuries stemming from the crash. Byrge was reportedly unhurt in the collision.
Google Maps shows Interstate 40 is four lanes, with a wide, grassy median dividing east and westbound traffic that cut through the center of Cumberland County.
Deputies from Cumberland County and Tennessee State Police are assisting in the investigation.
