On or about Monday, July 26th, 2021. around 5:30 in the morning, an accident between a tractor-trailer and a motorcycle left a 44-year-old Plainfield man dead.. Deputies from the Middlesex County Sheriff’s Office said the accident was reported at or near the exchange of Route 440 and Interstate 287 in Edison, New Jersey.
Authorities from the area said 44-year-old Terrance Edwin was killed when the motorcycle he was driving and a tractor-trailer collided under unspecified conditions while they were driving near the intersection of Interstate 287 and Route 440. Paramedics pronounced Edwin dead of his injuries a short time after the accident, but police did not specify if the victim died at the scene or after being taken to the hospital.
According to Google Maps, the intersection of Route 440 and Interstate 287 is about 24 miles south of Newark.
Officials hope to release the findings of their investigation at a later date.
